Key Duties and Responsibilities
The role of the Finance/ Supply Chain Management Internship involves the following duties to be fulfilled:
- Support the purchasing and vendor registration divisions by processing new purchase orders and vendor registrations.
- Assist with creating purchase orders using PeopleSoft Financials.
- Follow up on outstanding purchase orders and ensure timely closure.
- Process financial transactions in PeopleSoft Financials.
- Handle general procurement-related queries in the office.

Inherent Requirements
Applicants will be required to meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this role:
- A B.Com Accounting or B. Accounting degree at NQF Level 7.
- Not currently enrolled in full-time studies.
- Must be a South African citizen or hold permanent residency.
- Should not have participated in any prior internship programs.
Additional Selection Criteria
- Applicants must not be enrolled in another learnership or internship program.
- No prior formal work experience is allowed.
- Successful candidates must agree to sign a learnership/internship agreement with UFS.
- Availability for the full one-year internship period is required.
