Job Description

Role Purpose

We are looking for a driven and customer-focused individual to join our showroom team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting showroom visitors into buyers by demonstrating products effectively, meeting sales targets, and managing order processes, including documentation and administration. You’ll identify customer needs, communicate product pricing and promotions in alignment with the catalogue, and emphasize the features and benefits of our product range. Additional responsibilities include resolving customer queries, processing payments, and managing refunds or credits.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Journey & Sales

  • Greet customers upon entry and identify their immediate needs.
  • Ensure products are displayed in line with the catalogue for easy customer reference.
  • Encourage customers to open accounts, especially NTF (New-To-File) customers.
  • Support customers with instalment payments, order processing, and handling goods returns.
  • Provide professional and efficient service as a brand ambassador, assisting customers at self-help kiosks.
  • Manage daily administration tasks related to customer service, vetting, and query resolution.
  • Contribute to business objectives by marketing the showroom and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Product Knowledge & Pricing

  • Stay up to date with product catalogues, features, and benefits, particularly electronics and related insurance/legalities.
  • Ensure competitive knowledge of rival products and use this insight to upsell effectively.
  • Maintain alignment with current catalogue pricing and promotional changes.

Visual Merchandising & Housekeeping

  • Arrange product displays in accordance with Visual Merchandising (VM) policies.

  • Consistently achieve performance standards related to productivity, turnaround time, and quality.

  • Regularly complete stock takes and ensure accurate reporting to the inventory manager.
  • Communicate with management regarding stock and showroom operations.

Goods Returns & Query Resolution

  • Handle customer returns and ensure accurate administration and reporting of goods returned to the warehouse or GR book audits.
  • Process refunds or credits efficiently.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric (Grade 12) is required.
